Props to this guy for recognizing the evils of your own Mom. Also props for recognizing her selfishness and poor decisions in ruining her relationships. There are a lot of blue pills raised by single moms that are extreme misandrists that will defend the most fucked up abuses women will do to their own children, and families.

Plenty of women out there who claim to have "wasted" the best parts of their lives on men but how many of us have experienced, heard a story, or know a guy who sacrificed and reinvented himself entirely to create a new supportive life for a woman and family . Maybe he wasn't perfect but you saw that man change substantially in order to accommodate the expectations and needs required of a " REAL MAN" in a relationship?

Then how many of us have experienced, heard, or know a guy who after this transformation was betrayed, abandoned, or rejected for his sacrifice ?

Mind you I don't even think the tragedy is in the change, we as men want to be the glue that holds our family together, I think many of us enjoy and embrace the fact that our lives can be so important to our families and significant others lives. It's just in situations like the OP's post a man changed , embraced, and assisted in the development,support, and maintaining of "his" family and in turn once the kids were gone and he should have rested in the sunset smiling with his wife at their job well done.... Instead she tells him he was little more than a glorified baby sitter and additional stream of income.

What is a man to think in that situation? She's essentially corrupted the happiness, pride, devotion, and even memories he enjoyed during that time . He ends up in his old age poorer, with lots of memories that will always have an underlying thought of " was I the only one truly happy there", and alone.

It may not be rape but I don't know that you can make someone feel more worthless than what this woman has done to this man and the kicker is that this was his reward for being a " REAL MAN".

Mom did literally the exact same thing to my step dad. He was an idiot for putting up with it though. It's not all her fault. The man was a moron to not realize what was happening to him. I remember her bad attitude and princess ways and him constantly capitulating. In some instances you just have to say it was the woman taking what she could get. Women feel oppressed by men, not because we repress them, but because they need us more than we need them - ESPECIALLY when they are a single mom.

But, as women do, their rationalization hamster will NOT allow them to truly admit this to themselves. It would be absolutely devastating to their ego. So instead they project those feelings of inadequacy onto us. This allows them to believe we're oppressing them and we're not good enough.

Imagine having to love your boss... yeesh.

However, ironically and hypocritically, they expect their children to love and worship them. Their children need them and they dominate their children. They do not see the problem here. They are immune to cognitive dissonance.
