Thats....not that big a number to me. But you gotta cherry pick your stats as much as you can do justify shit.

Howabout lets compare how boys do in school related to male vs. female teachers, where it is far more sexist. Will those stats be ignored?

All of my female colleagues when asked why specialty they want to work in replied : pediatrics, gynecology, ophtalmology.

99% in fact of my 60 female colleagues gave those same 3 answers. Only 1 wanted to go to surgery.

Its like the disparity of male/female in STEM. We would love to hve females in those fields, but they dont.

Less stressful and better family life conditions are the main reasons to making that choice.

Then we have people saying : conspiracy, sexism against women for not working in those specialties.

All of those are statistically indistinguishable except for male doctor–female patient

I doubt it. We have no evidence that the research was neutral.

If for example the more complicated cases are given to men while the easier ones to women, we are bound to having more fatalities for the male doctors.

Another factor could simply be the age of the patients. If male doctors get to treat the older women while female doctors get the younger ones ( maybe 70+ years old for males and only 65 for female doctors) that would make the data of mortality in favor of female doctors.

I wont cover the entire article because it is clear some data was ommited to push an agenda, however i want to point out that :

Women are more than welcome to join the field, they will not only get an easier time to get in, but also all the help they want or need from other practitionners, yet rare are the female doctors who apply for the job.

Until the same results are reported from multiple data sources, it would be bad to jump to conclusions about sexism in ER or how prolific the competence of females are compared to males.
