A major part of the problem is a societal acceptance of superficiality, and men praising her outward actions instead of determining the woman's value system that drives her actions.

E.g. Why is she cooking? How long has she been doing it for, when and why did it start? What is the source of passion in her cooking? What aspects of it does she find intriguing and makes her want to learn more? Does he have an 'end goal' in her learning of the art of cooking? What culinary influences has she taken on board, and why? Which of the senses is most important for her when preparing a meal, and why? What has been her biggest surprises in food, why, and how has it changed her approach to cooking?

Legitimate responses to such questions are nigh impossible to fake on the spot, and after marriage a woman who is truly passionate about food will still cook because she's passionate about it. If she dodges, or says she can't express herself well right now, I'm gone.

Personally, I have no desire to get married or have long term relationships... but I know a bunch of women I'd consider it with, because I do trust the value systems and moral frameworks that are actively used by them to make their decisions. These women are introspective, willing to accept responsibility for their mistakes, and are on their own path to self-actualization.

Yes, they may one day change, but I'd be fairly comfortable betting against it. So do try shift your "dating" focus (God I hate the term dating) away from entertainment and pop culture and lead her into conversations on topics of deeper meaning, where she must express and communicate her values and principles... and once you've agreed on your understanding of hers, hold her accountable to them. If I meet a woman whom I can't talk about such things with (because they don't interest her), or she can't express such things to me (because she's a poor communicator or is faking), or pushes blame on others when I gently 'lead' her to see inconsistency in her behaviours, I will not trust her, and I am gone.

EDIT: not saying "NAWALT" - she still has the same biological drives as other women, but at least you've taken steps to establishing her credibility.
