It seems to others that a bachelor is incapable of being happy. What's more, the idea that a MGTOW can lead a good life is shocking to people.
For my own part, I sometimes have a hard time imagining the happiness of others. I really have to work my imagination and exercise my empathy in order to imagine the joy someone on the other side might feel. As an anarchist, for instance, I was happy to see the glee of the left turned into sadness when their candidate lost. Granted, the right has shifted left over the years, and so it's just the left and the extreme left fighting over scraps. Still, I can understand their joys and sorrows.
Thinking of others makes me feel very tired nowadays, but I can understand people fairly well. However, I don't think that others can understand as well. The idea of a happy bachelor pisses them off sometimes. I'm convinced that most people don't really want to understand me. And that's ok - I don't need others to understand me in order to survive and thrive.
I can see how, if you lived at the behest of others, then you'd care a great deal about being understood and bringing others into the fold. I think communism is idiotic, but I can understand why weaker people would gravitate toward such a system, for instance. I could see a person who was weaker and who had to gestate children would lean toward social spending programs and "fair play" laws, or yoking the power of men to the enforcement of "fairness".
It makes sense that women love attention - it helps them survive.
If you're a MGTOW ghost, then attention is not very helpful for your survival. If you were to survive in nature, and you're on, say a long camping trip, then attention is more of a burden than a benefit.
I feel good in private. I don't need one man, nor a hundred men feeding me through attention-whoring. In fact, I might feel uncomfortable if people started giving me additional attention. I would like to disappear. Hell, if I were a woman in her 50s and invisible to society - then I'd take the extra time to exercise, get better at programming, focus on research, and generally thrive. A woman in her 50s is afraid of dying alone... I've seen the poverty of useless women in old age - it's soul-crushing and worth ignoring. I can't look away fast enough from old women, I don't even want to think about them. Nothing changes in woman as she ages - only the physical presentation of woman changes; if you take away the good looks, then all you're left with is the same petty creature. Her gossip is not endearing, her feebleness no longer charming.
Simple pleasures for simple minds - old women still love to talk. They talk shit, get in people's business, collect baubles in vain, and nag. They're not different from young women - they're just no longer pleasing to look at. And the wall claims all women in a relatively short time - they are like wilting flowers - only beautiful for a few days during a particular season, then they fade.
I liked the post on here of a guy shrugging and the caption read "I hate women but I love pussy." It's the natural beauty of the female form that speaks to the libido - not the beauty of her character.
Yet, I can still imagine a happy old woman being paid a compliment and getting some attention, then talking shit with the other old women - pleased with her self.
However, I'm not sure that people can understand a happy misogynist, a bachelor, a MGTOW, a man alone - it is so unlike their own experience, and mode of survival, that it seems impossible to them. Imagine that - a strong man, happy and alone, pleased with his self mastery and not for show.
MGTOWs - never expect to be understood. You are like an eagle among lambs, what is good for your survival is antithetical to the survival of the others. You are what they consider to be evil. In their estimation - you should be yoked, banded, married, tied and fettered to their will. Your muscle, your brain, in their mind should serve them. If they had your "privilege", so they think, they'd do this or that. If a lamb were an eagle, then the eagle wouldn't eat the lamb, so the lamb thinks. No, eagles should walk on the ground and travel in herds, and eat only plants, they should be soft and bleat, never sharp as talons yelling in the air.
If women had their way, then we would be women. And some men lower themselves to effeminacy. Some men think the female ethic is virtue, and so they live as lambs with clipped wings and broken beaks.
I think a tragedy may exist here...
I think that some men do not understand their own nature and happiness. Granted, some men are naturally weak in body or mind. It seems tragic that a man would castrate himself before knowing the true happiness of manhood (which requires some growing into).
I've experienced hardship that I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemies, and yet I would choose this life a million more times just to be here now. Manhood takes some growing into, but I value the experience and I wouldn't trade it away for the simple joys of being understood.
I would rather be an outcast than give up my value. My value. I won't call it happiness, because that word is cheap, and happiness is a terrible master. I would call it my values - that thing which I wouldn't trade for anything. My values are my sustenance - I live by them, and they make me strong. I am "happy" to be hard to the world.
And while I will never be understood by the common woman, nor the weak man - I wouldn't have it any other way.
