Nah, women favor lesser attractive men because it's harder for them to be replaced. To the man, he's fooled by the fact that his girl is so attractive thus it makes him feel good.

The idea behind dating less attractive men and women not wanting you to hit the gym is the same. Your options are more open thus they can be easily replaced. It's yet again that selfish nonsense.
