Perhaps close, although finding women around these days that don't want kids is very hard. There'd be a lot more guys out there than girls that don't want kids.

EDIT : It's a group of people not wanting kids so technically they are going their own way from kids. I think that an equivalent would be to get away from women (or men). I'm not aware of their culture.

Do you even that subreddit? Some of these women are married, others have boyfriends, others are single. The only similarity between childfree and MGTOW is that both are groups that don't care to cater to gender roles.

I think it's all about fear. They are afraid of consequences, and having kids and being responsible for them is one piece of a BIG consequence after enjoying life on easy mode, jumping from one doss to another, playing Tinder games and clubbing.
If you hear about a man who doesn't want to have children, in most cases it's not because he ultimately doesn't want to have them, but because he knows he couldn't afford having them yet. He couldn't provide them with best life they deserve. And probably he holds on, saving the idea for the future. Only when he is confident about the resources and family bounds, he is ready for having kids. His successors.
And childfree women... They must be afraid of having children. And I guess they have a reason, because it's not that easy when another human being is growing INSIDE you 9 months long, literally sucking the life out of you, and then it goes out, in a most painful and stressful way possible. Thank God something like this will never happen to me because I was born male.
