To not be born is ultimate freedom.

Once you’re born on planet earth, you have many layers of karma to deal with. And karma is self perpetuating. Contrary to popular belief that karma is a bitch and affects only bad actions, it also includes good actions. Every action objectively needs a reaction. Even very trivial actions like breathing, eating, sleeping, burning fuel, sharing public spaces all have inexplicable effects to one’s karma layers. Your karma layers don’t magically disappear when you die. You leave behind your at the very least your physical, mental, and spiritual footprints in their respective domains. Puranas support reincarnation which basically is the soul essence remanifesting itself In the earthly dimension as a response to the remaining karma in its respective karma account. But being born again triggers more karma, ranging from good (blessings received) to bad (curses or bad thoughts received) trivial and mundane to extreme karma.

True freedom is moksha - which is liberation from the cycle of life and death. Read up about the concepts of ‘samsarastha’ (family man) and ‘sanyasi’ (monk). Those are two possible paths that a man can take during his lifetime.

Monkhood has been traditionally viewed as spiritual pursuers going away into the forests and mountains to practice their austerities. But in the modern day, the definition of a monk is more open. I think MGTOW is one of the paths of monkhood.

It is also suggested that though many lives, the soul progresses spiritually and moves closer to moksha.
