Japan is currently in a population crisis. The interviewer left out the sobering statistic that as many as 60% of young Japanese men have decided to stay away from women altogether. This is due to a number of factors including financial concerns, lack of time, and general pickiness of Japanese women. A #metoo japan movement would be enough to scare the remeaining 40% of men from ever approaching women in any flirtatious way for fear of loosing their careers or respect from others within Japanese society.

Without the dying custom of arranged marriages, the Japanese culture could be extinct within three generations due to their own failure to procreate. Very sad when you consider what this country has fought through over the millennia.
