i work at a rather geeky place. we all talk about the same stuff.
the same group of people is why things like comic-cons became
popular before they became the satire they are now...

i just wanted to put this here as a placeholder to see how well SW
does in the box-office, since most of my colleages, life-long, ST
and other sci-fi genres, all claim they have given up on whatever
comes out of disney these days. they say things like:

"if it werent for STdiscovery being a bloody late-term abortion,
they never would have given orville a chance"
[and other such musings]

my over-under is that SW will do ok and that due its failure to
obliterate all the previous records; most 'journalists' will concoct
some paranoid delusion that it was a my-soggy-knees that led
to the mediocrity of the films success.

there was already a little blurb from one of the 'critics' about JL
could have done better if they kept the female director from WW...

LOL-KEK... which is funny cus i clicked through all fifty of the
top grossing films of all time and the only female director listed
is Jennifer Lee with Chris Buck for Frozen

i guess that means the steven spielbergs, james camerons, peter jacksons
of the world, are all a part of the patriarchy and need to be destroyed/shattered /snark
must be hard to be a female in hollywood. what with having
to be pretty, talented and suck all those dicks... /s

so its even funnier, when people realize that kathleen kennedy is basically
successful because she won the lottery of being close to spielberg, early. lolx2

most of my die-hard colleagues [having viewed the originals in
the theater as teens] all claimed that they dont even bother
keeping up with SW-anything. lol.

i, of course, will wait till the torrents have something available
for the sake of private viewing...

if at all possible, put a moratorium on outings and spending
for the next three or four weeks.

stay away, stay indoors, and most of all, stay frosty, bothers.

EDIT 1: [as MadPreacher1AD pointed out] from rotten tomatoes:
285 reviews from 'critics' point to 93%, meanwhile,
72,364 reviews from audiences point to 56%

compare that to Blade Runner 2049:
292 reviews from 'critics' point to 87% and
52,177 reviews from audiences point to 81%

lol, dont be obvious or anything, disney... lol

poor poor justice league, lol.
