Dude I am getting so sick of this BS. "Men have a crisis in masculinity"
No we don't we are just fucking fine. Stop telling us what is masculine and what is not.
Men are men. They have dicks and varying levels of testosterone etc.
Not every man is going to be john fucking wayne. Its seriously starting to annoy me.
Even the most "Beta" of men are more masculine than women. We need to stop this bs narrative and stop shaming men. THAT is the real problem.
A man is a man is a man is a man. There is no mystical man's man that will save society. It's a spectrum of traits.
We need to let men be men. Period.

Facts. Throughout history, nobody really remembers an alpha meatball on steroids to have contributed anything worthwhile to mankind.

Genghis Khan was pretty cool...
[–]realChebz14 points15 points16 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
cool in a way that he destroyed huge swaths of civilization, culture, art. Killed and tortured millions of people. That kind of "cool". Don't know if he should be our role model.

Don’t give the feminists ideas. They already have considered him a feminists because he considered women as equal on saddleback. Now he might become an environmentalist too,

Most of this is set by size, testosterone levels, and early home life
Easiest way to become more assertive as a guy is to get stronger, then it happens naturally

I completely agree, people who put out this bullshit are still running on plantation shaming tactics - You're not a real man if you don't do this/ This is what a real man would do - blah blah blah. You do whatever the hell you want to do.

I feel like this ignores the fact that being masculine and dominant is punished by society, especially in marriage and fatherhood. You're basically required to be a doormat or you're going to be sent to the slammer.

This sounds like trad con shaming language. Men should have the freedom to be whatever the hell they wanna be. That is literally what mgtow is. Some exceptions exist though. Like...pls don't be a cuck

It's funny how that Masculinity was good enough when it came to building up society from the ground up, but since we reached the (In their minds) top, they decided to shame the very same masculinity that allowed their lifestyle.

And those “second rate women” men get punished constantly by society and women

Just wait till disaster like ww3 or something hits, they won't call on the women, they'll call on the strong masculine men to save us.
I believe that disaster is what shapes us, just look at how far we declined after our around 80 years of peace.

Personally I'm unashamedly risk adverse after 2 family breakdowns. I'm actually of the mind now that signing up for that shit a 3rd time is certifiably stupid. Men are generally more logical than women with good pattern recognition skills to the point he can observe these patterns from a 3rd person perspective. By that measure I was pretty stupid signing up for that shit the first time. But this argument of whether it's bravery of foolishness in pursuing relationships with the ticking timebombs modern women have become in this era of #metoo & divrce rape can be easily accessed by a simple cost/benefit analysis. Furthermore the only difference between a brave man & a fool, is where he is along the timeline of such a breakdown.

Yes, a thousand times yes. I have a few friends that fall right into the "terrified and unable to take a risk" and are currently living with their parents and making minimum wage to pay for their $100k student loan. Dude is miserable and we try to help him but he is absolutely adamant about doing nothing other than minimum wage because he is "waiting for the perfect job".
