Currently watching a Christmas movie on their channel for no reason at all. In the movie, this tall and handsome Chad meets a single mom who just won full custody of her two children post-divorce. He ends up marrying her after all these corny scenes and one-liners that all these silly love movies tend to have, he treats the two kids like they're his own, and they all live happily ever after...
...except, that's not how it works in real life. About 95% of these Hallmark Christmas movies show the same exact story: the perfect man, handsome, single and without kids, somehow finds this average looking single mom of 2+ kids and says "This is the one!" Is this where single mothers on dating sites get the delusion that the perfect successful man will come along even if they have nothing to contribute? From these stupid, unrealistic movies? Also, I get the vibe that Hallmark purposefully uses kids to make these sappy love stories. They tell their viewers that a Chad should marry a single mother, because....kids!
