My friend was able to stop paying child support after about a year. The only way he did this was proving (Through a Police Report) in court that his ex-wife was a junkie/addict and she was. She was shooting up with random people while the kid was in the house. He recieved 100% custody of his boy. You can always petition your argument in court and depending on your situation and many other factors you might be lucky that they don't raise your child support. Just be careful because courts as you know favor fucking women. You can also try and settle this out of court by talking to your ex and making her understand that you can't pay anymore then getting an agreement notarized by a lawyer. Good Luck Man I hope they don't raise it on you because we all know that money never goes to the kids.

Yes, I did have mine reduced slightly.

Settled to reduce. About 1/3rd of my pay. Having to sell out (house, paid off car, power equipment) and start over bc I cannot afford the marital house and child support.

I made a deal with ex wife with a contract signed and witnessed where I paid here a lump sum up front and would never have to pay monthly again.

I had to take a loan out at the time (35 years ago) to do that, but the amount I saved in the long run was big, and no more whining and hassles about payments

By reading people’s opinions in here, you might get the belief that there is no hope for men in family court. I disagree. I do agree that women have the advantage (unfairly) over men just like tenants do over landlords. But that doesn’t mean that landlords who get their ducks in a row in court don’t prevail. They do all the time. And so do men.
