I'm a bisexual dude who went MGTOW (as far as women are concerned, at least) years ago. Every time I have been anything more than a platonic friend to a girl, shit goes horribly wrong. Nearly every time I've seen my friends be anything more than platonic with girls, shit goes horribly wrong. I have never had a romantic/sexual relationship with a woman that was not, in at least one way, seriously fucked up.

In a nutshell, there was a lot of bad decisions, and non sequitur logic on their parts. Not saying that I am completely innocent, but you get the idea.

Anyway, now to the reason I'm here: when I broke up with my boyfriend, my friend Andy (name changed for privacy reasons) offered me a place to stay in exchange for paying my fair share of the bills. He even offered to waive my first month's rent during the relatively awkward transition. He may be high strung, but he gives a shit about people, and I'm deeply thankful for what he has done for me. In exchange, I have chipped in where I can to get nice meals, cook and clean, and helped when money was tight.

In the past 8 months or so of living with him, I have seen him become stressed a lot, and the root cause is almost always a woman.

First off, a former female roommate of his broke a lease agreement with him suddenly, leaving him to pay nearly half of his monthly income just to keep a roof over his and his girlfriend's head. The former roommate did this because she liked my roommates and became jealous of his new girlfriend.

Second, an ex girlfriend of his nearly caused him to have a mental breakdown because she aborted his child without his knowledge. Maybe this is a blessing in disguise, but he was looking forward to being a father. He did not take it well.

Third, his current girlfriend does not responsibly handle money. She has no money or line of credit to fall back on in the case of an unforseen expense and therefore is almost always broke. Maybe just a case of bad luck, right? Nope! She only works part time at a job that's over an hour from where we live. IT's possible to get clients closer, but she will not do so. Did I mention that she often does not have the money to pay for her own gasoline to get to and from work? Guess who pays it then?

Furthermore, when she IS home, she almost never cleans. My roommate is kind of a neat freak so this bothers him A LOT. She is at the apartment more than either of us and instead of taking less than 30 minutes to do some cleaning, she would rather lay in bed and watch stupid shows like "Say Yes to the Dress".

When I moved in, she offered to chip in what little she could for the rent. That would have been awesome, if she had not flaked on us nearly every month.

My roommate and his girl fight A LOT. He's getting less and less patient with her because she will not change her ways. He is trying to save money, but cannot because he constantly has to get his girl out of a bind. He calls me nearly every day when I am out and about to vent about her. I listen because he's my friend, but it's draining to hear about it over and over again.

Their recent fights have escalated and have resulted in property damage and may have gotten lightly physical (eg pushing and shoving but no striking). He broke her phone when she started to record him for "being abusive" (he replaced it). She put a dent in the kitchen floor and intentionally broke a full bottle of red wine on the carpet. We cleaned it quickly, and it's not as bad as it could have been, but it is still noticable.

Based on her track record, she has offered/will offer to pay for them, but will eventually find a way to weasel out of it.

I could go on, but you get the idea. They are torturing each other. What happens when you torture someone? They eventually break. What happens when they break? People get hurt.

I don't want anything bad to happen to my friend. I want to help him but I don't know what to do. Can anyone help me?
