The guardian throws out his remarks in vacumn. It doesn't refer to the incident which sparked this. For the article which references the rape/murder which sparked this whole incident.

“It isn’t up to women to modify our behaviour in order to prevent violence from being enacted against us,” writes the prominent feminist Clementine Ford. “It’s up to society to work together to dismantle misogyny and the particular kind of male rage that informs these acts of aggression.”

Using this logic, it isn't my job to look both ways before I cross the street.

Rape and murder might be the extreme end, Ford writes, “but the spectrum they sit on stretches right back to ‘harmless’ casual sexism, the rape ‘jokes’ and threats that proliferate online and the attitude expressed towards women on a daily basis by groups of men who’ve been socialised to view themselves as superior. These toxic behaviours don’t manifest one day out of nowhere. They are cultivated.”

Well she is 50% correct. Thanks to women labeling all men as rapist killers, on the other end of the spectrum you have MGTOW, they want to avoid all contact with women. She should be happy about this since it will prevent all rapes and murders of women.

Keep in mind that these are the super-smart, super-serious thinkers and opinion makers that we are supposed to be listening to, BUT they are incapable of distinguishing between MRAs, MGTOW, PUAs, and incels, which makes them stupid, or unwilling to distinguish between MRAs, MGTOW, PUAs, and incels, which makes them dirty fucking liars.

I think it's half and half.

First, Leyonhjelm made crude comments about Senator Sarah Hanson-Young’s sex life in the Senate. Then, he reiterated those comments on the Sky News program hosted by Ross Cameron and Rowan Dean. Now, Hanson-Young is promising to sue her Senate colleague for defamation.

On what grounds? I don't know Australian law, but how is the suggestion that Sarah Hanson-Young has sex with men false (she has children)? How was the suggestion financially or socially harmful to her? Was she in the process of seducing a rich lesbian sugar mama?

Leyonhjelm’s explanation for his comments tapped into a long-standing concept beloved of men’s rights activists, “pick up artists”, incels, and assorted antifeminists in all corners of the “manosphere”: misandry.

Hanson-Young voted against the motion and told the Senate on 28 June that during the debate, Leyonhjelm told her to “stop shagging men”. Interestingly, he told Sky that “what I was objecting to was the misandry, the blaming of men for the actions of individual criminals”, saying she had accused all men of being rapists, a claim she denies.

Except she did say it and another senator heard her. "women wouldn't need pepper spray if men weren't rapists." Yet I've pointed out, repeatedly, that male rapists at any given time, compose less than 1% of men. But since Feminists aren't going to let little things like facts, or logic, or fairness fuck up their narrative, it's time to hit them with audacity.

If they don't give a fuck about your feelings, give less than a fuck about theirs.

It’s a neat trick – a debate over a murder with misogyny at its core gets turned into a petulant and stubborn insistence on the victimhood of men at the hands of women. And it plays into the hands of the large, reactionary political movement built on male victimhood.

Misogyny? I'm sorry, when did the defendant, James Todd, confess his motive for the crime of which he has been accused? Or is this dipshit simply assigning him a motive for the purpose of furthering his narrative?

Smart money says the latter.

I like that he has to qualify his criticism as 'male victimhood.' Only the truest, purest victims, the victimhood Brahmins known as WYMYN may wrap themselves in the magical cloak of victimhood.

We male dalits must take care not to pollute them by stepping on their sanctified shadows.

For some antifeminists, the concept has extraordinary explanatory power. They see it as the motivating force for a feminist movement which, they allege, exists mostly to persecute men.

Since Feminism is a totalitarian ideology, and totalitarians, universally are simultaneously fixated on building the 'ideal society' while tormenting and/or liquidating their class-enemies, yes, feminism does exist, in part, to persecute men.

But feminism is a perverse form of totalitarianism in that unlike Communism or National Socialism, it's power is dependent on the willful weakness of its class enemies, men. All we have to do is tell them to fuck off and walk away, and the power of feminists disappears like a soap bubble.

So it was that Leyonhjelm was praised on the Men’s Rights subreddit, the MGTOW (men going their own way) subreddit, and on Braincels (which sees itself as the intellectual end of the incel movement).

Praise? An 11 point thread on r/MGTOW is not even front page (no diss to /u/Noobophile, I'm the proud owner of many underappreciated r/MGTOW posts). But we have a nice selection of memes, hot takes, testimonials, and SIRIUS BIZNESS. That's what makes r/MGTOW the most wonderful corner of reddit.

Embrace the unexpected.

But misogyny has a constituency. His fights with mainstream media interviewers resonate powerfully among a group of men who are alienated by, and bitterly opposed to, gender equality.

But, why would men be alienated by 'gender equality'? I thought feminism was for everybody?

By speaking to them, and being boosted in their media ecosystem, Leyonhjelm might become the men’s rights candidate.

Heaven forfend! We know men can't have a candidate of their own! By all means, pander to the women until your lips fall off and vote them as much public money as you can, but men should just sit down, shut the fuck up and be good little taxpaying piggies.

In the name of 'equality' of course.
