I've said this a million times in the past on other forums, and think it deserves a dedicated thread. Many women value commitment more than sexual attraction and are often willing to prostitute themselves for it. Because the men they're sexually attracted to are usually out of their league, those men won't commit to them. So, they eventually settle for the kinds of guys they ignored in their younger years. There's no real, genuine sexual interest there. It's all business. She's basically trying to sell the guy an illusion of "love" and pass off glorified prostitution as "maturity".

Female settling in the attraction department is the dirty little secret behind most relationship problems, including:

  • High divorce risk
  • Cheating
  • Sexless marriages
  • Lack of respect
  • Game playing
  • High maintenance/Demanding behavior (he has to continually compensate for the lack of attraction on her part)
  • Neurotic behavior (she's prostituting herself but wants to believe otherwise)
  • Mutual resentment down the line
  • "Low libido"

Also, when a woman changes after she's been with a guy a while, it's often not that she "lost attraction" to him, but was never truly attracted to him in the first place! Her true level of attraction to the guy simply revealed itself once she felt more secure in the relationship, got whatever it was she wanted, etc.
