I'm not saying it NEVER happens to poor or middle class people, but since the cases you're referring don't include a single person that isn't rich and high profile that statement doesn't make sense. You're taking cases that may apply mostly/only to the rich and powerful and you're trying to apply it to the rest of society without a second thought. Their situations are so drastically different than the normal person that it seems like beyond a stretch to say because Matt Lauer is accused of something he may or may not have done then the rest of society needs to freak the fuck out cause they're on the chopping block next.
