Girlfriend has always dreamed of backpacking. She is young, so if she wants to do it the time is now. I can't just quit my job and travel with her RIGHT now. Instead, a guy who she knows is a womanizer offered her the chance of doing it with him for four months. We talked about it, she said that if he tried anything multiple times she'd leave the first chance she got. Also promised full transparency.

LOL. Full transparency. I'd sooner believe in Santa Claus again.

What should I do? Should I break up with her? I trust her completely, but it's a lot of time with another guy.

I have tears in my eyes, I'm laughing so hard at this. Some guy that you don't know at all and your girlfriend barely knows is going to take her 'backpacking' for four months with no one there to serve as your eyes and ears. Unless your chick is busted or the guy is a complete soyboy, he's going to test her. Hell, even if she is busted, he might test her anyway just to see if he can get her to fuck.

She says that she'd rather go with anyone else, but again, this has been her dream for a long time. I trust her. A lot. I think the thing is... this makes me uncomfortable.

There's a good reason that it is. But, some men can learn, other men have to be taught. You probably need to be taught. Go ahead, let her go play with her 'long-distance male friend'.
