Historically, the vast majority of both men and women got married. What this tells me is that it's actually really hard to be an incel. Ugly guys, short guys (me), dumb guys, poor guys, etc. have been getting married in droves for centuries.

Some have accused me of being an incel upon realizing I'm gmow. Their charge was that I'm not actually choosing to go my own way, but that I am simply telling myself it's a choice to cope with being an incel.

No. I don't think so. I've had plenty of girlfriends in the past, and many guys way worse than me have gotten married. Thus, I can obviously have a girlfriend if I choose to. It may be, however, harder for me than Chaddy McFuckFace, and girls may not be throwing themselves at me, but that does not lessen the fact that I make the choice to not seek them out.

In short, in my case, voluntary celibacy means a refusal to seek out what I demonstrably could choose to have, rather than an active rejection of female advances, as may be the case with my taller friends here.
