New to MGTOW but what do you say to the critics that say both genders are equally hypergamous?

I say they don't know what hypergamous means.

Hypergamy means using relationshits to move up the social and economic ladder, like marrying someone who makes more money, or dating someone in a position of power.

The people saying "both genders are equally hypergamous" are confusing hypergamy with the opposite of monogamy, polygamy or hypersexuality or something like that.

I also don't find women's hypergamy to be the biggest issue. That's a pretty natural instinct and further bolstered in this day and age by validation on social media and dating apps as well as women's default elevated social status in society at this time.

The problem is what women are enabled to and what they will choose to do in 2017 with that hypergamy instinct.

Men are hypergamous too, in the sense that we always want to fuck more hot women. Women want more rich men and will divorce rape you with no second thought about destroying your life.

Most men will be loyal to their woman and just masturbate to porn or fantasize about hotter girls on occasion. I suppose it's more about what women do in reaction to their feelings of hypergamy and what men do, and in what proportion.

It's fine to be hypergamous if that's your nature. At least you would be true to yourself. You know what is not okay? Being hypergamous for the first half of your life, which is when you are most attractive and fertile, and then halfway through realizing you can't compete in the dating market anymore, so you decide to switch strategies midway through and decide you want to settle down and be a parent now.

Sorry, you chose your path in life. You don't suddenly get to change the rules halfway through because you realized it was an unsustainable lifestyle. You know what else is not okay? Blaming one gender for hypergamous by calling "pigs" "sexist" "privileged" etc just because you're jealous you can't pull it off anymore and you're pissed the members of the opposite gender don't want to settle down with you now that you've had your fun. We are not required to change our lifestyles just because yours ran out of steam and you want to "settle down" now.

Men don't have to stop & provide for women just because the woman has had enough fun and can't live the single lifestyle any longer. That's her problem, not ours.
