I have to share this with you. This is a summary of a conversation I had with a person who is close to me.
About 3 months ago his unemployment benefits ended, the government deducted 1/2 of his net pay for child-support arrears. Why not fight it, given that is impossible for one to survive on that, I asked? He replied that he had already spent a mint in legal fees to do just that a while back but it got him nowhere. Besides, he said, by the time it goes to court, 6 months later, you are already in a big hole, thus further compounding those arrears, aka a vicious self-feeding circle. How did these arrears happened in the first place, I asked? He had a very high paying job but moved to be closer to his kids. His new job was now a portion of previous pay cheques, but his payments were still based on the old high amounts, that is the law, and it took months before a judge heard the case.
Meanwhile, his net income was much less had he gone thru the social system and no, they could not supplemented it neither because they go by gross pay, aka a vicious circle.
He enrolled in social assistance program the past couple months. However, he just receive a letter that they too will now start deducting half of his net income for those arrears, $12k, not much really. Details: his income is $724/mo. Rent, car insurance (given to him) and phone surpass that, forget food money. How did you managed to survive that? He was smart enough to have set aside some cash on hand, long ago, away from bank accounts, the problem is that money is now gone.
Side note, the 1/2 deductions from social assistance was not a surprise to me even 2 years ago. Actually, I saw then a feminist advocate push (one that brainwashed sheepepeople, like 1in4, to go after ''deadbeats'' and even to take his money right out of a men's bank account), it was just a matter of time.
His spirits are up thou given that there is light at the end of the tunnel in a form of 2 potential new jobs, one of them stated the contract would be starting as Nov 27. No word from the other job, but that's not unusual. Meanwhile, he lives in a total toxic environment and let the owner know he was moving by the end of the month. I know her and let me tell you this, she is ~300 lbs, single, old, very lonely, cat lady, a radical entitled feminist with a massive chip on her shoulder, who can not leave him alone. Why not move out I asked? Rent is very low and impossible to find it elsewhere, must put-up with that toxic until he can look after himself elsewhere, aka a new job.
He decided to call the Nov 27 based interview. His contact said his new boss, a woman who returned from vacation, wants to meet him (by the way, that would be his 4th meeting and everyone liked him). No probs so far, except that he got a weird feeling about his contacts' voice. Hang on in there and give it time, Bro, it just a couple more days, that's the advise he got.
I can not help him as far as a place, but no worries thou as far as emergency money. What if the job does not come thru before the end of the month and she still wants him out? Men's shelter perhaps and keep pushing for a new job - hopefully.
This man was once very well-off, could have retired at a very young age but then he made the mistake to believe in unicorns and trusted a male-hating society. Interesting that he doesn't give one damn about the money. His pain, a tremendous pain, was the fact that his kids were brainwashed to avoid him and Paternal Alienation is hardly enforced, because "courts don't enforce moms", on Record.
Edit: one of his kids is not biological his, but he still has to pay, although, rightly or wrong, he considers the child his own.
MGTOW you ask? You better flicken believe it - it could very easily be you!
