I think it's due to their propaganda and brain washing combined with modern advertising trends and techniques. Could just be a biological defect though I suppose.

Here's an article I think that really highlights the issue IMO:

"Being happy means butterflies; being comfortable means complacency.

My thought is that with such a mentality and redefining happiness as euphoric joy, they set themselves up to NEVER be able to consistently be "happy" for long periods of time.

Personally I think Epicurus was correct; "The magnitude of pleasure reaches its limit in the removal of all pain. When such pleasure is present, so long as it is uninterrupted, there is no pain either of body or of mind or of both together."

Essentially if we remove what causes pain and suffering then we will be left in a pleasurable state and be content. Of course, women today are told precisely the opposite that their indulgence in pleasures that cause long term damage are the peak of happiness and thus end up sabotaging themselves and any long term possibility of being happy.

Implacability explains why women like church so much and men typically dont: God is depicted as implacable and cannot be pleased by good works no matter how good. I.e. the Christian god is depicted as the ultimate personification of the ultimate female trait, Implacability. Just like them, the only thing that can please it is sacrificing its own son. Female to the core.

The Stoic elements of Christianity (not unique but borrowed) are great, but the worship of Implacability personified amounts to pussy worship. DOWNVOTE AWAY!
