It's not worth being mad at anyone because they don't want to spend time with you. The wife may nag him, but at the end of the day, it's his choice to comply.

When you have a kid(s) you don't even have time for a hobby. And time with friends is usually with other friends who also have kids. Sort of a left behind thing.

He's likely not malicious about it, her either. The gender roles are all fucked up now, so he's trying to be half mom, and she's trying to be all mom and half dad.

So the old idea of leaving the kid with her and then having some beers with friends can be contentious depending on the woman involved.

Just get in contact and offer to stop by for a beer. Accept and be okay with the fact that you'll see that friend once a year if you're lucky.

I doubt there's any malice in it. Parenting literally rewires the brain. He's focused on the kid.
