I’ve been reading through the comments on my post about purpose and doing a lot of thinking the last few days. There is no purpose to life, at least not in the traditional way (wife, family etc). Purpose is self made. Going your own way opens your eyes to the falseness that has been preached to you. Your biological desire to reproduce is not a viable option in present society. Finding something else to fill that void will be an ever present challenge for all of us. There is no purpose, or maybe finding purpose is the purpose. Do what you want gents, but just make sure you’re doing it for you. Do things that mean something to you.

As for myself in particular, my purpose is to be successful in my trade and eventually run a small business in it. If I really think about it, that’s the thing I want most and what I work towards every day. I want to work hard and well and earn the respect of the people I work with. In that I find contentment and purpose. What do you find purpose in? Everyone is different and will find completion in different things.
