I think the solution is having high standards. The manufacturers have to come together and create a standard for their practice and some regulation. Once they do that? The dolls will be here to stay. Because then, even if they ban some particular thing? People will merely package the product in a way that is acceptable. Do you think women’s toys were always advertised honestly? Of course not. That’s merely the cost of doing business. You package the product in a way that makes it like a mannequin or a test dummy or a tool for artists. There are countless ways it could be sold to pass it off.

Consider a scenario of a man wanting to be a single father using a surrogate mother. It should be equivalent to a woman wanting to be a single mother, right? Well, it's fully legal in a few places, like New York state.

So, regarding sex dolls and men having equivalent rights to women having sex toys should not be assumed.

They can't ban it in the entire planet.

As long as demand is there, and trust me there is ALOT of demand for that, they won't be able to prevent it.

Their bans would be pointless, would drive tourism up on other countries(at least more than now with the sexpats to SEA) and ultimately corporations would bite + join in when they see the numbers are raking in so much.

Smugglers would have a field day too in the meantime before they crack.

It won’t be banned, it will be debated morally argued against and it’s possible the church will try to mobilize and fight but in the end the economy and dollar will win. Men will gladly pay for it as it gets better as it just makes more sense than any alternative. Will some areas tax it sure, perhaps even attempt to ban certain options (ie AI intergation). But it will fail long term and as it gains traction and as it gets fought in the news by feminists, talk shows and opinion pieces it will only gain further traction and get more men’s attention and social acceptance. It will also force a entire swath of the female population to attempt to revevaluate itself as it gains acceptance as their social and economical place in society will be challenged in a way that was impossible before, and from their I can speculate but no really knows socially what will happen. A massive breakdown of social systems welfare and support structures seems likely to me as the system will be overburdened by too many lost women and single moms and social cohesion will be massively disrupted.
