Honestly as a non-Jew it's a trip to pick up different bits and pieces from various media over the years of what Jewish guys go through with their moms and the other women in their lives. I could see a lot of their influence on my father via my grandmother, who was the daughter of Irish immigrants but grew up in a part of the northeast with a LOT of Jewish immigrants. One time when I was talking to her she even outright referred to herself as the "matriarch" of our family. It said a lot about how brainwashed my dad was and the poor decisions he's made with regards to kowtowing to his wife, no matter how insane she got. Yeah I'm talking about my own mom lol.
