This is a conflict between old and new. Marriage is sanctimonious and holds the same age old significance, but infidelity cannot hold the same connotation and consequence?

Women were considered to be men's chattel in the eyes of law. Therefore, the owner/man was responsible for any damage done by his woman. This norm continues to be enforced by the society where men are blamed for and held responsible for women's actions. Rights cannot exist without the corresponding duties and responsibilities.

The society has changed but the laws have failed to keep up. But the problem is that the laws are changing to serve one gender at the expense of others. We don't have fair chance to represent our gender justly because of the gynocentric forces in power. So keep calm and GYOW.

To expand on this, I personally think this sub does not acknowledge men doing anything wrong in any capacity often enough. It’s always “but wymyn get away with everything the gynocentric society!!!”
