“You will desire to control your husband, but he will rule over you.”

You probably heard that Bible verse that goes “Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you”. I had no idea what that meant until I found this explanation:

In the NLT (New Living Translation) Bible, which is the most explanatory translation, the verse actually goes: “You will desire to control your husband, but he will rule over you.” And this is from the verses where God explains to Adam and Eve their respective curses for screwing up in the Garden.

In this translation this doesn't sound like a patriarchal commandment. It's more like a warning against crazy women.
