South African MGTOW Story I live in South Africa. I’m a 21yr old black male. In 2010, I was in grade 8 and that year; a rich black male student from Durban came to our school(in johannesburg). I knew he was rich because he always had R2000($200) pocket money on him everyday for food, had 4 ferrari phones, wore expensive rolex watches and wrist watches that cost around R40k+($4000). He was very kind with money to people, though I never took advantage of him or ever asked for anything from him literally; because I’m not a user and had my own shit.
But anyway, he dated a bunch of girls at this high school and would spoil them. He’d give them ferrari phones, expensive necklaces from jewellery shops at sandton mall and give them R200($20) lunch money everyday to buy food from the tuckshop. After dating two chicks at this highschool, at the end of grade 8; he started dating a girl from grade 7. Btw, the school I went to accommodated students from grade 0-12 but the classes were segmented on different areas of the school property. When he started dating this chick from grade 8, his previous girlfriends got extremely jealous because he was showering his new girlfriend with money, holiday trips during school holidays and attention. Last year, I had a long and deep voice-chat over the phone with this male friend of mine.
During the conversation he told me that back in December of 2010(school holiday), he took his girlfriend on holiday to cape town and blew R100 000($10k) on her. His girlfriend obviously had never been in a relationship; whereby a male spends so much money on her and goes above and beyond for her. During grade 9(2011), my friend and his gf had a falling out and they broke up for a while. So my friend then approached a white chick in grade 10 who many of the guys at the school considered hot. He offered her a necklace worth $1500 and said he’d be willing to buy her whatever she wanted if they date; though she turned him down because she said she couldn’t date black guys cause of how she was raised. He let her keep the R15 000($1500) necklace.
Eventually my friend got back with his ex-gf in that same year of 2011. After 2011, I left the school and did homeschool and haven’t seen that male friend of mine since then; though I’ve kept in contact with him via voice-chat or messengers. So last year, my friend called me to get advice on problems he is having with his girlfriend from that highschool. He told me that she met up with one of the former male students; who used to attend the highschool we went to. This guy that my friend’s gf met with was in gr12 when me and my friend were in gr8. My friend told me that this guy was trying to snatch his gf away from him. My friend also said that his gf complained to him that he doesn’t take her out enough; yet he’d put so much effort into the relationship and take her out every month.
When I say take her out every month; I mean they’d hang out together in bouts of days. So they’d see each other on monday and hangout until thursday. Then he’d see her again like maybe in the next 7 days etc. So he made an effort to see her 40-50% of the month yet that wasn’t enough. So while chatting, my friend told me that he bought his gf a jeep for her to use that was auctioned off by the bank. Yet his gf wanted him to changed the registration of the car to her name. He told his gf that he will take care of everything in terms of paying for the servicing of the car, buying petrol and paying for insurance; yet the gf still wanted him to change the ownership of the car to her name.
Later on in the conversation he told me that he has spent over R1.5million($150k) on his girlfriend over the time of their relationship. He even paid for his girlfriend’s on-going flight school course because she was training to become a pilot. The reason he was paying for her flight-school course, was because her own parents couldn’t afford to pay for it; so since he loved this chick so much he paid for it. During the conversation, he sounded deeply hurt and pissed off at this chick and told me that he was telling me this to console in me since me and him have been close since he came to that high school.
This is where it gets juicy
This year, my friend called me again and we were catching up(you know how guys joke around, talk about life etc). So while talking to me, he said with a voice of remembrance, “Listen! You won’t believe where I saw ‘InsertGirlfriendsName’?”. So I said ‘tell me’. He said in June this year, when he went to collect food at Nandos(The one by Melrose Arch). He parked his car at the parking at nandos. While he was waiting in his Brother’s Aston Martin, he noticed a black female employee dressed in the Nandos Uniform approaching his car with food. As she was nearing the driver’s side(which he was seated in); he opened his window to get the food.
When she got to the side of his car; he said that he saw her facial expression change to one of complete shock/horror as if she was about to have a heart attack. He himself said to me that he was so shocked and dumbfounded to see his ex-gf working at Nandos. He could see that she was embarrassed and wanted to run-away. But since she worked at Nandos and was obliged to give him the food; she made small chatter with him. Then he asked her how she is doing and she said, “I’ve now realized that we should value what we have and stop chasing fleeting emotions.
I really wish we could go back to how things were”. He then said to her in a sarcastic yet serious voice, “Well, you live and you learn so best of luck to you.”. Then she slowly walked away from his car with a walk of shame and defeat. He told me that she looked terrible when he saw her. She didn’t even have the iPhone 6s, he bought for her anymore. He said he asked her where the iPhone that he bought her was, because he noticed her using a really cheap nokia phone and she said that it’s at home.
Then he said to me, “I think she is lying! She most likely sold it”. After he told me this on the voice-chat; he started laughing uncontrollably and gave me philosophical advice about people not valuing what they have and taking things for granted. He told me that when he saw his ex-gf next to his car; he was so embarrassed, not because of anything he had done but because he felt awkward being in the presence of his ex-gf understandably.
P.S. He also told me that his GF fell pregnant at the beginning of this year, but she said that she lost the baby. He believes she aborted it.
For those of you guys wondering how this guy was so rich: His father was and is still heavily involved in mining and the import/export business in South Africa; so this friend of mine basically comes from a family that is worth hundreds of millions of rands, if not billions. I’m close to him because we get along on a emotional and mental level. I have never asked him for money ever!
… He told me that when he told his cousin that he saw his ex-gf and how she looked; his cousin laughed and sang a song by Cassper Nyovest(a popular south african rapper) called “Slyza Tsotsi” which basically means ‘run to the hills’. Meaning run away from your ex-gf to the hills. So there you have it lads, A true South African mgtow story. Fyi, my friend’s gf is 20yrs old and my friend is 22(1yr older than me). He repeated grade 8 in 2010, because he was so playful at the school in durban so his parents sent him to Johannesburg.
Moral of the story: These women overvalue themselves and let one man treating them like a gem, get to their heads. My male friend was notified by his ex-gf’s female friend, that she got pumped and dumped by a young South African rapper and was publicly played by this fuckboy as pop culture would put it. Now my male friend focuses on his business which is doing well. He supplies eggs to huge stores on the daily so is making a killing in terms of profit. He now doesn’t get into deep relationships with women.
