I am currently a 16 year old boy, and my true realization of this bias was when I was 13 in eighth grade. To summarize, at the beginning of the year, a girl with a bullying past targeted me and bullied me to attempted suicide, and as a way to stand up for myself, I unintentionally did that to her. About a week and a half before school ends, I get pulled into the principal's office and questioned about what I was doing to her. I was terrified because I didn't know what was really going on and I had never been to the principal's office before. I tried to explain that she did the same thing to me, and he said he might look into it. He then emphasized that I was bullying a GIRL and that was wrong. I was let off with a harsh warning for never having been down before, but he told me that if I had been, I would have been expelled no questions asked. All because I'm a boy being mean to a girl. Low and behold she gets out just fine. She came in with hundreds of cuts on her thighs second to last day of school, doesn't show up on the last, and did not go to the high school next year. I haven't seen her since. But this is how I know that women are favored.
