Hello, gentlemen.
For the last few months I've been lurking on this sub and have become acquainted with this community. Gotta say that many of you make me proud to be a guy in this day and age...not all of us are hopeless. Ultimately it makes me glad to know that I am not alone in much of how I feel about this modern culture.
Anyways, this is kind of a big step for me but this is a community I'd very much like to be part of. Y'know. Participate in. Discuss more. Learn more. Grow stronger, wiser, and better as a result. Hopefully I can do that for some of you guys by explaining a bit about myself.
Currently I am a 24 year old Indian-American Male living in the western part of the US. At about 4 months old I was adopted from the eastern part of India to this country. From a young age (perhaps 5 or 6) I became aware of a few aspects of human nature. Funny enough, the desire to find romantic love was one of them. So that has always been with me. This is nature. Fight it all I want, it'll still pop up at the end of the day and say, "Hey, I'm still right here y'know." Now, it's the nurture side where things went kinda fucky for me.
Even with the blessing of a family to live with did not guarantee that it was a great one. This is where I started to pay attention to the dynamic of how my parents worked. My parents would fight a lot. By 5 they were divorced. Long story short, my dad remarried a horrific Aussie landwhale about a year after their divorce. My adoptive mother was a great woman, yet she had some terrible, terrible issues with BPD and some other nasty demons. At around 6 1/2 she took her own life. So, uh, not quite the greatest outcome for that family. My eyes were opened, but not like they were in the following decade.
The day my mother passed my sister (also adopted) and I moved into our new stepwhale's house. For 10 years I saw the insanity that women bring in marriage. All that time I grew up watching my dad get bossed around and fucking toungue lashed by this nasty woman who demanded he did everything for her and would shit talk him mercilessly behind his back. And my dad was not a dimwit (well, inside family life, yeah). He was designing escape pods for the manned missions into space before the program was closed in 2008. At least, that's what I heard. This guy was very mathematically gifted, yet wasted it on pursuing having his own son. Sadly, he went and tied himself down even further by not just taking on her already existing 10 kids, he had another son with her (shortly before her menopause kicked in) and then adopted us two. So legally, he was bound to 12 kids. Sigh I myself was hoping that Cheaper by the Dozen shit had ended in the 30's but nope. Alive and well.
To sum it up for this decade of observation I watched the decline of what it meant to be a father in my household and man, was it awful. By the time I was a teenager I knew deep in my heart that sure, I'd love to date and get laid, but I would NEVER get married. Never. No matter how happy any girl might be able to make me it is not even worth risking becoming what I saw my dad become. His balls were removed way before I ever moved in there but man did that not stop her from wanting to smear (metaphorical) lethal chemicals where they had once been. All to "keep him in check." And if this is what she did to him, you're probably not gonna wanna know how she was with me. To sum it up, pretty fuckin' bad folks. A shitstorm everyday I got home from school for some crazy horseshit mental gymnastics.
Our past makes up who we are, and if that is ultimately the case I would do everything I have tried to briefly explain to you all over again to get to this conclusion. When I moved out of that batshit insane house it sucks to admit but the blue pill lifestyle dominated my life for awhile. Chalk it up to 18 and naivety, lol. Surely not every woman was like my stepmom....Yet, over the years humanity has not been subtle, like, AT ALL about how we really are.
It's this shift that brought me to solidify this mindset of "going my own way" permanently. About three years ago I stopped caring about what women think of me. What goddamn anyone thinks of me. Getting older I realize that time is our most valuable resource. Now that GYOW has been established in my mind there's so much more time and opportunity than I could have ever imagined. If the masses of "oppressed" women can want the best, then so can I. Even better, when i eventually attain it I don't have to share. Not until shit changes.
But, I digress gents. The big takeaway from reading this is that if you had a family life anything like mine and are on the fence and still think you can get married and do better DON'T DO IT! Seeing the nature of how women really are growing up is a blessing and a curse, depending on how you choose to see it. For all the Hell that it's worth, that discovery is one of the best things to ever happen to me. It set me free at a fairly young age.
Have a wonderful evening guys, hope your paths are clear and your successes are well earned.
