From about 2007 to 2015 I did online dating on and off. Both paid and free services. My last serious relationship ended in 2010 after two years and after 5 years of frustration and immaturity, I swore off dating sites completely as a waste of time and energy and apps like Tinder have only continued to make it more of a wasteland. 2015 is probably when I began my MGTOW journey to now even if I didn't know that's what it was called at the time.

One thing I learned from that time of online dating, I would say 75 to 80 percent of "conversations" with girls was me having to treat it like a job interview asking the majority of the questions to keep it going with very little reciprocal conversation back. And that was even when they bothered to reply. Finding a woman who took any genuine interest in my life was a chore to say the least and most of the conversation was about shit she did and things going on with her. Even when I responded about things in my life or what I did for fun, at best I'd get a "that's nice" response with little follow up.
