I say media, but I mean anime (for the most part). Is it really just a psyop to make men think women in the real world can have these perfect relationships? Maybe I should just stop watching them because it’s putting this stuff in my head. It’s killing me to know that I can never have a partner relationship like that with a woman. It just seems so nice to think that maybe i could have that kind of relationship if... well I don’t know what I’d have to do. But I snap back to reality and remember it’s a show or something and it’s just an idealized piece of fiction and it hurts. What do I do? I hate that to be happy I have to be MGTOW. If I don’t want my life ruined or worse I can’t associate with half the people on the planet. I feel so bad thinking that what I want isn’t real but it seems so close. It’s not like a superhero movie or something where it’s obvious that it’s special effects or fighting aliens or something. I just have to accept the world as it is I guess. Happiness comes from inside and all and fulfillment is a goal you reach on your own. I don’t know this just became a rant and went totally off the rails as I was writing but writing it down made me feel better. I feel like I’m crying more often. I look at my ceiling and reality comes crashing down again and again, and it doesn’t stop hurting. How could we have let it get this bad? We practically control all of nature and we can’t control... women I guess? The best we can do at this point is through fiction and that still doesn’t help. I wish there was some giant feminist dragon we could kill and get this all over with so we can go back to the way the world should work. What could I do to get that partner relationship? Are we all just doomed to be alone leaning on strangers in the internet for support? Maybe that’s what it is about women in media. Is this all just that male mother need thing? The realization that a woman that would basically be a second mom isn’t possible? That’s what makes women attractive right? What will make s good mother is wired into our brains to be attractive. What happened that changed this dichotomy? I guess feminism has such far reaching impacts that it changed that dichotomy. The male protector and provider and the female home maker and child rearer. Maybe that’s why it seems that all women are like that now. Because the patriarchal idea of protector and provider has basically been replaced by the state women all became “like that”. But men have no such luxury as to have the state provide them with everything they could ever want. So we end up with MGTOW. Men trying to find ways to fill the need of a caring supportive figure for themselves. I guess we’re lucky we can shoulder that burden because we’d already have total societal collapse if it didn’t. Getting my thoughts down felt good. I guess I’m still a pretty long way from the whole self actualization thing as much as I tell myself I’m fine. I don’t know how you should respond to something like this but I’m glad there’s somewhere to say it. God knows I’d just get a “man up and get a girlfriend” from anyone else. Thanks.
