I recently traveled through/lived in India for 4 months. I'm originally from USA. One thing I noticed about India is that men are forced into the MGTOW lifestyle simply because of the culture and demographics.

For every 1,000 men there's only about 900 women. Might not seem too imbalanced but when you have 1.2 billion people, there are millions of men who simply won't ever be with a woman. An Indian local told me that India use to abort the fetus when they found out it was going to be a girl, so this added to the misappropriation.

A lot of the women in India are entitled. Because they're "in high demand", they only marry men who have good jobs and income. So millions of men who are born in poverty and can't clime the non existent economic ladder. They are literally forced virgins for life. India's culture is still very much one of "no dating or sex before marriage". So girls never ever put out, they will shamed by their parents if they do.

Men are forced to become independent and make the best of what they have and know they will most likely never get married, have a girlfriend, or have sex. Yes there is some prostitution in the big cities, but it's expensive for young Indian men who don't have high paying jobs. A lot of men choose to walk a religious/spiritual path and become Sadhus(monks).

It's hard for me to make a judgement going either way. I think young men in India focus more on themselves rather than trying to chase women. I find men there are much more happy and confident in themselves. Of course India has a lot of other issues they need to work on but it's interesting to see India as an experiment for a generation of men forced to GTOW.
