I tried to maintain contact with some college buddies for a while in my 20s and early 30s after they got married but you find you can't get them alone. If the wife allows them to be social at all she will tag along just to make sure 1. the guy isn't complaining about her constant nonsense and 2. no other women are there. So basically a fun night out turns into a brief meal at an overpriced restaurant listening to the wife squawk and squawk and make sure they get home by 8pm for the Bachelorette. Great to see you man, lets do this again in 5 years.

Occasionally one of your friends will go through a divorce and reappear, but just as quickly they contract a new parasite and run back to the plantation.

I agree fully, I can't even count how many times I've been shamed or thrown under the bus just because I didn't give some bitch who looked at me for 3 seconds the time of day as if it's my duty to approach any and every chick.

What I found is that you can be friends with a "blue pill" if said guy has a girlfriend and he is not actively pursuing pussy. Or if the guy is quite succesfull if need be. In those cases hanging out with those guys is fine, do note that I am great friends with these guys and selected them on the basis of enjoying spending time with them. So by definition they do not only want to go hit on women or whatever but they are great to talk to, to hang out with, play games with ect.

However I do agree with the fact that if a man is willing to sacrifes everything for some girl then he is not really worth keeping around as a friend. Since he will sacrifes you if need be.
