Just something that occurred to me as I was laying in bed last night.

I think we all know they're great at lying to themselves, "hamstering" etc. But the difference between men and women when it comes to lying to themselves, women seem to actually believe it.

When you see a fat, shlubby losery looking guy, you tend to be able to tell that he is ashamed of himself. He certainly doesn't seem proud.

It almost seems that the fatter, shlubbier, more losery a woman is, the prouder she seems to act, the less ashamed she seems to be. Because she's capable of believing herself (and her horrid friends) when they say she's strong and beautiful and deserves nothing but the best.

The man knows this isn't true, and while he may not act on it, he sure as shit knows he isn't doing his best and probably beats himself up for it, where the woman congratulates herself.
