Hey guys, my dad is a well off guy, had an amazing white collar profession and is dating a woman about 10 years younger than himself. He is around 66.

This woman cares for, that I can absolutely NOT take away. If I am at work, she stays nights at the hospital with him, carries his bags, ect. In that sense, she is a godsend. I don't think I could handle seeing my father in a hospital bed alone knowing I couldn't take off work.

So here is my question, she always speaks of what he owns, selling off assets, and even cleaning out rooms in the house to have her son (Who is going to court for a nasty crime he commited) move in. Her ex husband was a drug addict, is moving away, now her kids needs a place to stay. They are in there 20's, I am about a year or 2 older and have my own place so it wouldn't effect me. I just don't want my dad being talked into letting a violent drug addict into the house, to live for free... with no job.

I have noticed that women usually give the same reaction - "It's his money, let him do what he wants with it!".

Which is essentially a euphemism for - "Ha! I'd do the same!".

Granted, I hope my father survives, I want my dad living a happy life... not dying so that we get to argue over an inheritance. It genuinely makes my stomach turn.

Dad living > Money

How do I know if this woman is rooting for his death? Sure, it sounds morbid but she never stops bringing up his backed taxes, selling the beach house, and even telling my sister "You know, if something happens to him, how am I gonna keep this house going?".

And my sister brought this up to me and said "Dude, she thinks she OWNS this house".

Even saying stuff like "All of our kids are welcomed here (my dads house), because we're one big happy family".

What? How many mortage payments have you paid? Have you chipped in for an electric bill? Water bill?

Like I said, I may sound nosy, but I am trying to protect my father. I live with my mother in an apartment that I pay for, and when I do come to visit my dad I end up hearing all of this crazy shit that this woman said.

You guys always give great responses and I look forward to hearing them.

Please keep in mind - this is not a battle over inheritance.
