Some NFL teams ban cheerleaders from interacting with players. Plenty of junior/college/high school teams keep their star players away from female "fans". That's pretty much the minimum but it's all they can do without a shitstorm.

"Rape" accusations, taking selfies outside a players house or the house of their billet, following their car around, and pretty much everything you'd expect and more is common. The casualness some of the girls talk about crazy shit is pretty shocking but it frequently gets to the point where other women feel the need to warn the player.
