If your ex is dumb enough to listen to the mere opinion of a psychologist (male or female) so that she can easily be influenced to blame her present partner for her problems, then she is not worth being with. Psychology is a shaky science anyhow; it was bad advice for you to suggest she see one. When people are suddenly horrible to you for no reason it is a moral issue that requires repentance, not a mental issue that requires therapy.

I can't get my head round that this woman is actually doing this as a job and giving people advice every day.

The problem is you can't understand different perspectives. Her job is to help your ex not you. It is your ex who was paying her. So part of her job is pinning the blame on you.

Well there you have it. She's Borderline Personality. That's what CBT and DBT are for.

Most women fall very close to BPD. Not all of them cross the line but even more women (very close to all of them) fall extremely close to cluster B.

Highly emotional. They have an extreme push/pull (idealization/devaluation) in their relationships and some go to anger and some go to physical aggression.

Women are ALL fickle (changing frequently, especially as regards one's loyalties, interests, or affection) and have an in group bias that can easily tear a woman from a man on the 'advice' of an almost perfect stranger, as long as that stranger has a vagina.

The fact that she brought you with her, and asked if you could come in was the first "flag" (not a rad flag to anyone else, but to this female psychologist, it was) that the girl is very "dependent". Feminist psychologists immediately start thinking that YOU are controlling her. She imagines that you insisted on being there and that you insisted on coming in with her to 'supervise', even though nothing could be further from the truth.

This signals and sets off the other woman to go into "protect the girl" mode and the train started rolling.

Soon into the meeting after the initial conversation starters they began to talk and your gf probably started with "mma13579 says I have anger issues and thought I should come see someone"

Which again, says to crazy shrink "He's gaslighting and manipulating her" because women in general, have very low (if any) agency and tend to be much more agreeable than men; which they then call "manipulation/control".

They can't and refuse to believe that maybe this girl needs you. They're thinking "What do you need him for" and in short order the train speeds up and gf starts telling stories.

Not sure how the story goes exactly but she's going to be telling the psychologist about how she feels and probably puts across a helpless, confused, type of 'affect' (basically body language) to which women are highly tuned (because of babies).

They see an emotional, 'little' thing and want to 'save' it (the same response we have) but they refuse to believe or allow a man to do the 'saving' when and where possible.

Then perhaps the psychologist drops a question like "Have you thought about leaving him?" to which your gf starts to hamster. She probably hasn't put too much thought into that before now, but she feels the pressure to answer this supposedly "educated, professional" mother hen. It's like "inception". The mother hen has planted an idea into your gf's head, and OF COURSE women love to avoid accountability at all costs so she starts to imagine "What if i left him" and then has delusions of this wonderful life, skipping through a field of flowers and this feels good and 'free' which triggers her to think "it could be like this if only it wasn't for him" and now you are slowly becoming the only problem she has because some how, in some way, they are both believing that you're the one holding her back from this magical land of butterflies and unicorns.

Then, when she comes out, she's going to throw it at you. Another shit test, but this time, her cognitive bias for 'feeling good' at all costs starts to override all the logical and practical reasons that you are together in the first place.

She begins to 'test' to see if you are the enemy and see how you react.

If you get defensive "What are you talking about?! That's crap! I do this, that, and the other for you" Then your gf believes you're exaggerating to cover up your lies and manipulations and control and starts to feel like you don't really care for her, but just provide practical real world things.

If you get soft and go "Honey, I love you, I just thought you might benefit from this" then she sees you as kissing her ass to cover up your lies and manipulations and control.

If you don't say anything, you're cold and uncaring when she's upset.

If you say too much, you're feeding her line of bullshit.

At this point, there's nothing you can do but ride it out.

When dealing with a cluster B, the things they fear most are abandonment. So they test you and even push you away to see if you come back. But if you come back to fast, they think you're full of shit and need 'time to think about things' because you were FAR to fast jumping to your defense.

NO CONTACT is one way to manipulate back. Women are extremely prone to 'want what they can't have'. So you have to be in a 'you can't have me/ I'm not chasing you" mindset. For how long depends on just how fucked up your gf is, and by the sounds of it, she's pretty fucked up.

So she will be, even right now, thinking of ways to 'take a break'. If she has family (especially a mother) still in her life, she's thinking "maybe i could leave and go to moms" and if she has a close gf that is single an on her own, she's thinking the same about her.

She's hamstering how to leave as we speak. She believes you will pick up on this and try to do things to keep her, so if you do that, it will push her farther away.

If you don't do anything, you're cold and don't care.

Only time works now. Once she's away from you for a bit, her hamster will start wondering where you are, what your place looks like, UNLESS there's another cock waiting for her (which there is).

Then she'll start feeling 'good' because someone else wants her (this is the attention she's been seeking all along because she's bored with you).

If you are calling ans texting and trying in any way to talk her into 'thinking' differently or 'staying', she'll feed off of it, it will feel good for a while but then she figures "he's in the bag" and that even more solidifies her "boredom" with you.

She needs the feelz and tinglz of a new push/pull relationship. This excites her and her spite for you will build because she will, again, convince herself that you are preventing her from having the life she's always wanted.

In your fear of losing her, you will be anxious and monitoring, this will set her off to believe even further that you are 'controlling' and the train will fully derail.

If you can back off for 3 weeks (minimum) to about 3 months (with your fingers crossed that she doesn't have another interest; which she does, even if he's imaginary at this point) she will start to spin in her brain thinking about what she lost. However, if chad shows up in this time, she's at least going to fuck him.

She's going to idealize her relationship with him. Dreaming that he's her prince charming when he farts and shits just like you. But that doesn't matter. She needs a new conquest. A new adventure.

This is the BPD mind and there is NO CURE. Let me say that again. THERE IS NO CURE

If you stay with her, this is what you are up against for the WHOLE relationship and she will only stay with you if she 'needs' you. And this isn't the 'I need his love' kind of need. I'm talking about, if she thinks she will take a hit in her lifestyle (money) by leaving you, she will shut up and stay. But if she thinks she can do better on her own (ie: with another guy) then she'll go.

Sorry mate, such if the life of the BPD and the vast majority of women. And the shrink is exactly the same and cannot/will not ever admit to herself that she needs a man, so she will unload this on every vulnerable female she can because she thinks 'look at me, I can do it on my own, so can you' and feeds that shit down the line, never admitting the possibility that even one woman in the world might actually need a man for her best interests.
