Also, prior to this we had WW2 which caused the US to have a major economic advantage in the world and also caused the the sex ratio to have more women than men due to male war fatalities. That created the prosperous 50s and early 60s.

Then you have these things evening out, women entering the work force which drove down wages and exposed attached women to men outside the home, the pill and legal abortion were added, and then no fault divorce and laws that hurt men in divorce/child custody.

This set up the softball pitch. Smart phones with internet and social media/dating apps then knocked this softball so hard it landed in cuckland.
