Recently, I’ve had a couple folks encourage me to do some white knight behaviors for a gal in the group... “why don’t you give her your coat” as a recent one.

I had to use the language against them... “Chivalry is benevolent sexism. I wouldn’t want my micro aggression to trigger her, as she seems like an independent woman, and I wouldn’t want to offend or make her uncomfortable.”

There was some laughter all around, but the requests stopped and we got back to the fun like nothing happened.

Not a man’s obligation to fix a woman’s issue.
