I see this attitude every now and then in this sub and am curious why such traditionally masculine institutions get so much flak in a men’s sub. Part of me thinks it’s just internet culture where most guys here are probably working in IT, software engineering, computer programming, etc. and their interests as adolescents were different than those going into Boy Scouts or organized sports.

The most common statement I see is “It’s dumb to fight and die for a gynocentric society.” The military is just another job except they control your life more. Everyone works for a boss. You can liken the POTUS to be the boss and the voters to be your shareholders in the company. Also, less than 7,000 US service members have died in combat since September 11, 2001. 2,500 Americans died on June 6, 1944; just one day. Men die at a higher rate doing other things these days.

I’m kind of rambling now but I’m just curious why the last true male spaces come under attack from a men’s sub. Also, I’m a tad biased because I’ve played organized rugby and football and was in the army for 10 years.
