Moms are more problematic in that they sabotage your life either intentionally to keep you dependent on them or unintentionally because they're women and you should almost never take their advice on anything. If they're Narcissistic they want to cause you pain, they will sabotage anything you enjoy in life. The solution is not to let them know or have any say in what goes on in your life.

If there's one female you should give a pass to, it's your mother. Of course that all depends on how bad she is though. If she's abusive you don't have to give her a pass but it would be wise to understand ultimately she is a victim of feminism and Western society. It's an it is there fault but it's not their fault situation. Give them pity and sympathy but not too much empathy or they will use it against you.

She seems as though she's trying to help her son the best she can, imo. Most women cannot understand the despair that often comes with the loneliness or disheartening depression that arises from being a modern Western man. They're incapable of understanding it. They don't have to experience it unless they're incredibly ugly or disabled.

I would explain how loneliness is just another emotion, it's temporary and comes from cultural indoctrination telling her she needs to be around others, have external recognition and be validated by others to be "worthy".

I know a couple women who like to be alone, for self-reflective purposes... but they still PREFER to be around others - whereas men most often prefer to be alone, unless they have self-loathing/hatred, which will cause discomfort when alone and force them to face the feelings directly.

Although, she is a woman and as such, need men to provide for her whether she likes it or not.
