Rewatching Elementary, and got to S2 E12. There's an opening where Sherlock is reading some letters from Moriarty:

"It seems me, on my side of the canyon, that the search for unity with another is the font of much of the world's unhappiness."

Sherlock is actually quite MGTOW in general, when I think about it. He does get a girlfriend for a short time - an autistic girl - but most of the time, he uses prostitutes to sate his physical needs, and does his own thing the rest of the time.
