The position "VP and Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer" itself is already a position of discrimination and exclusion. No men could be in such position and definitely no white men. I bet the whole department in itself is an example of discrimination and exclusion.

The core problem that needs to be addressed in the "lack of women in stem/whatever" is that equality of opportunity doesn't equal equality of result. Jobs should ideally be filled by the best candidate available; affirmative action is also discrimination. I cannot change being a caucasian male, yet I'm still penalized for it when looking for a job because I'm a majority member.
