tl;dr AMOG through 'banter' is evolutionary assassination. You should capitalise on it, or lose your place.

I have come to understand that AMOGing another man, even a friend, is just part of our evolutionary makeup. Our competitive nature takes the full-frontal when with women. Out at a bar the other night, I could sense a shift in conversation when a pretty girl would join our conversational circle. Banter would suddenly take the forefront, and the girl would always be in our peripheral. I would even describe it as fight or flight. You are instantly put on the defensive and you can choose to attack, or sit back as other men fight for the top hierarchical position. The girl in the group is suddenly then aware who is who, almost instantly. All men understand that women find attractive those that put down other men.

You do not win if you choose not to play. Either you choose to banter, or you lose. Frame, in essence, is defensive. If you are constantly holding frame and on the defense, but refuse to attack with banter yourself, you will be perceived as a man who can take punishment, but little else. If you refuse to play, understand that other men are not as a kind as you.

You may consider them your best friends, but when it comes to women, it is every man for himself. There is nothing in evolutionary biology to suggest that mating is not our primary concern. Therefore, 'Bros before hoes' is idealistic in terms of nature.

However, once you have won the hierarchical position through means of defeating your friends, they will respect you more. Therefore, attacking is a win/win. You will not lose friends, as everyone subconsciously knows this process.

Lessons learned:

Sexual strategy is amoral.

Only the male hierarchy is important.

EDIT:

I'd agree that this is for the young and college-aged, when all there is is social dominance through respect and intimidation.

I also want to say that you are all pussies.

TRP wasn't always like this. We saw human nature before all morals, and we were a community dedicated to capitalising on it for our own self-interest. We understood that self-preservation is a completely natural and universal law, and the respect we give others and ourselves is based on this fundamental biological compulsion - to preserve ourselves for the sexual marketplace.

All that I have said should be completely obvious, but you refuse to see through ideologically tinted glasses. Yes, you should value your friends, but acknowledging part of human behaviour should never be taboo here.
