Why should he get the award? This isn't your typical moronic white knightism where a doofus sees a couple arguing verbally, and kills the guy. Or where a doofus sees a woman physically attacking a man, and then himself assumes the man is in the wrong and attacks him. The way the story is written, some dude came in to Justin's party and starting choking his ex-GF so Justin punched him and kicked him out. Sounds reasonable actually if Justin is the host of the party, since he could be held liable for what happened to her...thus, its not actually white knighting but covering his own ass.
