An HB9 from my high school swung by my work the other day, knocked up, but still hot as hell. I proceeded to text my best friend who had a major crush on her. But like a moron, was too busy texting to notice I had sent it to my girlfriend. The response was pretty much textbook of "Diiid you mean that for someone else?". In realizing my mistake, I took a confident response to it, saying it was for my friend, not apologizing at all that I found another woman "hot as hell". Pre-RP, I would have been stopping by stores to buy her chocolate/flowers in order to "apologize" for me being a male. Long story short, not only did I not apologize, but I got some friendly action twice that night from her.

Lesson Learned

If you mess up in your flow, whether you make an awkward statement/gesture, or did something carelessly, own up to it with confidence. No one is a perfect angel, and everyone makes mistake. Anyone who does try to make something of it are childish and immature.
