Think of it this way;

Historically a woman's primary means of resources was a man. (Her husband) Her primary means of influencing (manipulating) him is verbal. If her influence ceases to be effective that's an existential threat.

Let's flip this now. Imagine you as a man are hunting a deer except now the deer is a terminator and bullets won't work. Do you like this new deer, or do you fucking despise it?

You despise it and figure out where it came from to stop more of them, because they signal the end for you.
