Since we were simple hunter-gatherer animals, the number of females a male reproduces with has been associated with his ranking in the tribal hierarchy, today it is known as sexual market value or smv. The more females you mate with, the higher your smv rises. Typically, this correlates with other features that make the male a more attractive mate, such as height and visible muscles. This makes sense for females, for a large strong mate would be able to provide for her and her children while defending them from threats such as a predator or a rival tribe. So it makes sense that men should have a high number of mates. But it is not the same for females. If a female member of a tribe mates a lot with a number of different males, she easily becomes a cesspool of sexually transmitted diseases and chances are if you attempted to have a child with her, it would not be yours and you would be wasting energy providing for someone else's child. That's why a female with a high partner count has been seen in such a negative light throughout history.

But what does all this mean today?

Recently I was watching a show called Ray Donovan, the titular character being the embodiment of rp alpha traits. He's a smart, handsome, charismatic crime boss who gets shit done. He's the man you call if shit goes haywire. He has affairs throughout the show. This one episode he finds his wife having an affair with a cop, naturally Ray is livid and later confronts the cop. I had a plate who said to me "what did he expect? He constantly cheats on her and the moment she does it he gets pissed." What did he expect? This is a fictional character and thus a hypothetical situation, but is a great subject for discussion nonetheless. He is a crime boss who makes his living doing dangerous, sometimes dirty things, things that could result in his death, all so that he and his family can live in a villa in LA. Who is to say that he can't have an affair here and there?

Let's get back to reality. Since before the quota workplace revolution, men went into their respective occupations, working long hours, to provide for their families, while women stayed home and cared for children and did housework. Wealthy men were usually smart intellectuals, business tycoons and stock brokers. Not the type of men who seem like they could pull off an affair. But occasionally, you'd have an outlier, a man astute in physical and intellectual fitness who knew what he could do. And if these men get caught having an affair, the media eviscerates them, painting them as horrible pieces of filth who deserve nothing but chastisement and shame. Tiger Woods, Arnold Schwarzenegger, etc. The bottom line is these men deserve to do whatever the fuck they want. They worked their asses off to get where they are today. The women they married sure wouldn't be in such a luxurious position if they didn't hit the matrimonial powerball. On the flip side, these women will have an affair, spew some bullshit along the lines of him not being emotionally supportive or whatever, take half his shit, his kids, and his house, then make him pay millions in child support and alimony.

Men cheat because they can, and should be able to do so. The media can paint it however they like it, nothing gets an ignoring housewive's panties flowing like a little dread game.
