Our mainstream cultural values are essentially descendant from Protestantism, which is work hard, do what your told and the external authority and power that be will reward you eventually.
I think pretty much everyone has gotten the memo that the Protestant Work Ethic died a generation or two ago.
This is a "straw man argument".
Today everyone knows that things are totally corrupt... but they will work hard to get their piece of the corruption.
The beta has a blind spot on women and only vaguely sees the corruption, but in his mind he doesn't really care because the whole issue is too scary to think about. His beta mind is too childish to even contemplate a moral question.
Back 100 years ago you might have known true men that argued in favor of the Protestant Work Ethic, but not today.

The Capitalistic mindset of "I want my piece of the pie" does hold true at the top tiers of society however at the lower rungs and at the mass level I feel that there are too many SJWs and White Knights for this to be the case. The conflict here lies between the Ego (Individuals) and the Superego (Consumerist media) for which I agree with you that having been fed the Disney fairytale all our lives many guys simply don't want to handle the truth and the responsibility that comes along with it. Fundamentally you should be narcissistic because noone else gives a shit about you.

I think the Blue Pill beta is brainwashed in a very different way than the old Protestant Work Ethic.
The Protestant Work Ethic centered on the concept of ownership.
A man owned his house.
A man owned his children.
A man owned the fruits of his labor.
...and these all fit perfectly into the Marriage 1.0 when there was no Child Support Laws and no Alimony and women weren't allowed to own property.
The Blue Pill lies to the beta and tells him that the present laws are "just fine" and maybe even that SJW values are legitimate.
The Blue Pill beta isn't an authentic Protestant... he's a fake but doesn't know it.
